Four people have been arrested on Wednesday for the alleged gang rape of a fifteen-year-old girl at a village under Triveniganj police station region in Supaul district on Tuesday night time, police stated. A hunt becomes directly to arrest two more people concerned in the incident.
Police stated the minor, a class 6 pupil, had long gone to attend natural call around 2 am when six men had allegedly overpowered her and took to a secluded vicinity and gang raped at gunpoint. They threatened her of dire results, which include the murder of her father if she dared to reveal the ordeal to any other person, police added.
But, on Wednesday morning, she narrated her ordeal to her mother and father who approached police and later an FIR was registered on the idea of the minor girl’s complaint. A case has been registered under sections of Prevention of Children from Sexual offenses (POCSO) Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC).
“Four of six were arrested and the remaining may be caught soon,” stated Ganpati Thakur, Subdivisional Police Officer (SDPO). The 15-year-victim has been sent to Supaul district hospital for a medical exam, he added. Police are waiting for the reports.
Police sources said the six accused have been recognized as Ashish Kumar, Pintu Kumar, Sintu Kumar, Rajan Kumar, Pradeep Sah, and Vijay Kumar, all are citizens of the minor girl’s village.
